Smart Notebook

The information I found on my lesson was very accurate. I like the way the lesson was very incorporated different techniques to make the lesson fun and interesting. Students would be able to interact with lesson by doing some of the activities that were available within the lesson. I think using the smart book website in the classroom is a great idea. I think it would increase the students desire to learn.
The smart notebook was easy to use. You can just download what you would like to teach and adjust it the way you would like. Setting up an account is a breeze. There was no hassle when setting up my account and being able to view the site. It was also easy to access the lesson and to making adjustment. The instruction to do everything were simple and straightforward.
The lesson is very interactive. It is based strongly on getting students involved. There are little games within the lessons student can do as a class to keep their attention. It also give the students a chance to work with smart board so they can have some experience working with one. One thing I probably would change is I would make sure it with by the standards I need to teach my students. I would also make it more decorative and add other features and effects to make sure it grabs my students attention immediately

Youtube, Google Videos, Teachertube

As an instructor one of my concerns about using Youtube and Google Videos is the content. People post anything nowadays under any type of heading. What could start off as innocent and just search for material as for a class could turn into trouble. With using those types of programs in a classroom an instructor will have to be very careful about what they choose to show their students from those types of Web 2.0 sites., because they are really not just for educational purposes. Another concern for me would also be that those websites could be distraction for the students. They could get side track, because there is so much to explore on those sites outside of the what they are suppose to be doing.
I think Teachertube is a very good thing to use in the classroom. You will not have to really worry about a whole lot of censorship or negative content. This site was made for educational purposes only. It is an educational website so you won't have to sort through the videos to see what's crap and what's not. I do see value in the website, especially for a History class because it uses illustrations, lectures, and visible key notes are shown in the videos. I can integrate this website into the classroom by using it as a visual aid, because some videos show demonstrations such wartime.
I think all three Web 2.0 sites are good to use in the classroom, but Teachertube is the best. I think Youtube and Google videos can be used for more of entertainment purposes and Teachertube for educational. Web 2.0 sites are needed in the learning environment. Instructors just need to know when, how much, and the quality of the site they are using.

Voicethread.com Experience

I really enjoyed using voicethread.com. The website was really easy and straightforward. The instructions was plain, simple, easy to  locate, and follow. When I set up my account on Voice Thread I found it be easy. There wasn't any hassle or confusion. They were like you password needs to contain a lowercase and uppercase word with a special character. I could create my user name and password however I wanted to with all the extraness.  Also I found it easy to upload pictures and easy to record on.
I did see value in using the website. I could use it for students to do projects. I could use the voice thread to enhance my lectures. I think the website is a unique way to get students involved and it would probably be something they would love to do. I did not encounter any problems when using the website it was very easy to use.
One way I could incorporate it with teaching is I can do a small skit with the political cartoons explaining what is going on in the cartoons, and how it pertains to the lesson. Sometimes I could also, use the students voices to reenact the cartoons to get their interpretation on and understanding of what the meanings are in the political cartoons. Then I can could explain while the cartoon is visible what it really means while observing my class making sure they have a better understanding of what they are learning. By doing this I am incorporating different learning styles to my students. Doing it this way can make learning easier and fun.

Web 1.0 vs. Web 2.0- Kiyana Lemon

Web 1.0 sites are authoritative versus and does want any interference Web 1.0 sites is know as-"this is the way it is".  while   Web 2.0 sites encourages participation from outsiders. Web 1.0 sites rarely changes, but Web 2.0 sites changes it's dynamics very often. Web 1.0 sites are usually closed to outsides so there is no outside users. On Web 2.0 sites everything is collaborative in which users can send in videos, comment, etc. Web 1.0 sites are usually read only while Web 2.0 sites are user friend and encourages users opinions and usage in ways such as blogs, videos, etc.
Web 1.0 sites such as the CNN news website is a website that is basically read-only. There are posting of comments and you cannot send in videos to this site. In the other hand the site does have a site where users can post blogs and send in videos known as IReport.com. Unlike the CNN news report website the IReport website is a Web 2.0 site. Other sites such as as Youtube, Facebook, and Twitter are also Web 2.0 sites because users are allowed to post statuses, send in videos, and post their own blogs. Theses sites are also collaborative in which it is democratic so everyone has a place on these sites and can get involved unlike Web 1.0 sites.
Web 2.0  sites constantly changes unlike Web 1.0 sites. Web 2.0 sites encourages the users to make changes on the web pages. This is what help keeps things current and make the web pages a whole lot easier to search for different tools and ideas for whatever they may need. Unlike Web 1.0 can only inform users on the content on the web pages. Web 2.0 on the other hand not only informs you different content to read, but the user can also give their input by posting blogs and sending in videos. When users keep using the Web 2.0 site to update their blogs and videos they keep the web page current for other users to keep using the web page for their convenience and enjoyment.
